Garmin g1000 student simulator
If the visuals in a flight simulator stutter or lag behind the control inputs, the student will not be able to hand fly the airplane. Instead of trying to squeeze everything out of one computer, we use three high-end computers networked together to share the significant computing power required by our simulators. The result is the same stutter-free experience you have in an airplane.
The primary flight display gives you all the flight data such as airspeed, attitude, heading, CDI, moving map and much more. Everything is formatted just like it is in the real world G1000 which makes practicing doing your instrument scans easy and effective. Information for instrument approaches is included such as localizer and glide path indicators. The RealSimGear G1000 is the perfect G1000 Flight Simulator to use at home for both pilots and students in flight school, as well as flight sim enthusiasts. The G1000 is a great instrument to have in a hardware cockpit for your simulator because it combines all of the key instruments into one, making it easy to setup and compact.
The G1000 offers robust flight planning features and allows access to airport information such as frequencies, runways, departure and arrival procedures. Our G1000 simulator makes an ideal training platform for flight schools as the instructor can sit with the student and go over all the critical information the G1000 can provide. Furthermore, there are many ways that pilots can benefit from flying a simulator as well. It is possible to enter a complete flight plan, make changes, select departure, arrival and approach procedures which is a particularly effective use of a home G1000 simulator. Using third party services such as Navigraph, it is also possible to have the navigation data used by the G1000 simulator to be automatically updated as updates to real world procedures are released.
South East Technological University (SETU) reaches new heights as the new university welcomes the Garmin G1000 flight simulator. The Garmin G1000 flight simulator is based in the SETU Carlow campus in the Centre for Aerospace Engineering building. SETU is the only technological university in Ireland to have a Garmin G1000 flight simulator. The flight simulator allows aerospace engineering students experience a realistic flight environment on a range of subjects from flight dynamics to avionic systems in a safe flight environment. The flight simulator will enhance the student learning experience within the undergraduate programmes in B.Eng. in Aircraft Systems, B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering, B.Sc. in Pilot Studies and the taught postgraduate programme, M.Eng. in Flight Test Engineering.
This Precision Flight Controls GTX G1000 Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) allows pilots to practice, and log required flight currencies, such as Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) currency. The AATD features a full Garmin G1000 avionics suite. Pilots and student pilots that live within the Truckee Tahoe Airport District boundaries can use the simulator for free.
In addition to the RTDs, students also train on four large simulators that are certified as Level 5 by the FAA and use satellite overlay visual mapping on high-definition wraparound screens with laser projection to give students more accurate visuals.
Ours is a particularly valuable resource for independent CFIs. Aerial Engagement is open and available to any instructor who desires to use our simulators for teaching. We can offer steam gauge or glass cockpits (Garmin G1000 NXi) in our sims. CFIs can teach from an instructor operating station and communicate through real aviation headsets, or alongside students in the same room as the simulator.
The Enterprise G1000 simulators have the same familiar switches, knobs, and controls as the real aircraft. This level of realism helps the students build muscle memory and minimizes negative transfer skills between the simulator and the aircraft.
Complementing flight operations at the Arlington training center, students attend nearby ATP JETS. Located just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, students complete their training with actual full-motion Airbus or Boeing simulator experience in an FAA-approved 14 CFR part 142 airline training program.
